Festivals 2026....who owns what?

With no Glasto happening next year there is a veritable smorgasbord of festivals you can consider to spend your hard earned $$$ at in 2026. Glasto remains a family run festival with profits in the year up to 2024 of £4m and donations to charities in that year of £5m. Nice!

But for 2026 it all depends on the line ups for sure but also where are those hard earned pounds and dollars going??....

Wilderness - July - Owned by Festival Republic Music Group LTD a.k.a Live Nation

Latitude - July - Owned by Festival Republic a.k.a Live Nation

Boomtown - August - Owned by Lak Mitchell & Chris Rutherford (55%) Live Nation (18%) Gaiety Investments (18%) SJM Concerts (9%)

Roundhay - July - Owned by AEG presents (also do BST Hyde Park)

Forwards Festival - August - Owned by Love (Love saves the day) & AEG Presents

Global:

Benicassim - Spain - July - Owned by The Music Republic - a.k.a Superstruct a.k.a KKR Private Equity

Sziget - Hungary - August - Owned by Karoly Gerendai and management. Sold back to them by SuperStruct (KKR) after they exited the Hungary market....no longer profitable for them!

Tomorrowland - July - Owned by Manu and Michiel Beers - Independent

Afro Nation - July - Portugal - Owned by The Malachite Group

Way Out West - August - Sweden - Owned by ... Unclear. Promoters Luger and Patrick Fredriksson with partnerships to Live Nation
